Yesterday we took a day trip to Waterton Lakes National Park. It’s the last official long weekend of summer so we wanted to make the most of the weather as it was a beautiful day and 27 degrees. It’s a great place to hike so we decided to hike up to Bertha Falls and then down to Bertha Lake. It was exhausting in the heat but it’s so beautiful there that its well worth it.

My very first attempt at HDR photography. I have a read a lot on the subject and thought I should have a go. I will use this as my baseline and see if I can improve in the next little while.
Wildflower taken at Kananaskis Country Provincial Park last month. Thanks to pix & kardz I have discovered that this wildflower is called “Indian Paintbrush”.
